How do the two versions differ?
Playfront’s 6 October preview reports a 2000 Hz physics tick on PS5 and 1440p-to-4K PSSR output with stable 60 fps on PS5 Pro. These are secondary observations, not a verified guarantee for every scene. Driven’s PS5 review describes limited traffic; no first-party universal traffic cap is established here.

Who should buy which?
PS5 if the television, the DualSense, and four local players are the plan. PC if mods, experimental VR, or a larger local split-screen setup are the priority. The 64-player figure is a local split-screen limit, not an online room size. Do not buy PS5 expecting the repository to appear. Do not quote 64 players as a PS5 feature.

Is the physics the same?
Both are the soft-body sim. A secondary preview cites a 2000 Hz tick. I am not claiming identical frame rate.
Does PS5 have the same cars?
The PS5 launch press release advertises dozens of vehicles. No model-by-model parity check is documented here; shared PC documentation is not a certified PS5 list.
Which is cheaper?
Both the US PlayStation listing and the US Steam listing show $24.99 on 24 October 2026. Discounts and regional pricing can differ.

Does PS5 Pro change the comparison?

Is PC still Early Access?
Yes. The press release describes PC Early Access since 2015, and the PS5 release is Early Access too.
