Privacy Policy

This page lists every third party that runs on BeamNG.pro, the cookies and localStorage keys each one uses, how long they last, and how to turn them off. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra ads load by default; the cookie banner is a notice, and Reject switches all three off for 180 days.
Implementation checked on 24 October 2026: GA4 measurement ID G-ZDTSC3MVLN, Microsoft Clarity project z2ja93k17b, and Adsterra publisher 3403020, website 6146107, with Native Banner unit 31892837 and Social Bar unit 31892838. Adult ads are disabled in the saved network configuration. These scripts are inserted dynamically and asynchronously; this does not mean they have no performance or privacy impact.

Default-on, and how to reject
A visitor with no stored choice is treated as having granted the optional scripts. On the first visit the page loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra, and shows a banner that says so. The banner is a notice with two buttons: Keep on and Reject. It is not a gate.
No stored choice allows the loaders to run but does not create an acceptance record. Google Consent Mode v2 starts with ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied, analytics_storage granted, and ads_data_redaction enabled. Only Keep on explicitly changes all four consent signals to granted.
Reject writes bn_consent = denied for 180 days, sets all four Google consent signals to denied, withdraws Clarity consent, removes the advertising units, and reloads the document to stop already-running SDKs. Subsequent pages do not request any of these three services while the rejection is valid. Keep on writes granted and reloads. The footer’s Cookie settings button reopens the banner at any time. Reject cannot undo requests made before it was pressed or delete cookies held on third-party domains.
Global Privacy Control is honoured as Reject: when navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true the site stores denied without waiting for a click. Do Not Track is not treated as a separate switch; use Reject or Cookie settings.
Cookies and localStorage on beamng.pro
localStorage bn_consent — our record of an explicit choice or a Global Privacy Control rejection. JSON with choice (granted or denied), ads (boolean), analytics (boolean) and ts (when it was written). Valid for 180 days from that action, not renewed by browsing. An expired record is ignored: the notice returns and the default-on loaders run again unless Global Privacy Control is enabled. No new acceptance record is written automatically.
localStorage bn_socialbar_closed — set only when you close the Adsterra Social Bar. JSON with ts. Retention 180 days, so the bar stays closed across page views and reloads, not just until the next refresh.
Cookie _ga identifies a GA4 browser; _ga_ZDTSC3MVLN maintains session state for this measurement ID. Google documents a default two-year expiry for these first-party cookies, subject to browser limits and service configuration. Reject prevents further GA4 script loading; existing identifiers may remain until they expire or you remove this site’s cookies.
Clarity documents first-party cookies _clck (user identifier and preferences) and _clsk (joining page views into a session). Microsoft domains may also use CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM for service and advertising-related purposes; their availability and expiry depend on browser settings, consent and provider configuration. We do not claim independently verified project-specific lifetimes. These are potential service cookies, not a promise that every browser receives every cookie.
Adsterra sets its own cookies and identifiers on bicea.org and on the domains that serve its creatives, not on beamng.pro. We cannot read or name those cookies from this site; they are described in Adsterra’s privacy policy linked below.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 loads by default with measurement ID G-ZDTSC3MVLN, property website_157_gameinfo_beamng.pro. Requests use www.googletagmanager.com and Google Analytics collection hosts such as www.google-analytics.com. GA4 can process page views, approximate location, device and browser type, referrer and interaction events. Our site code does not deliberately send names or email addresses. We do not claim unverified account-level settings such as Google Signals or a particular event-retention period.
Google’s policy and service retention controls apply to collected data. Reject disables subsequent GA4 loading and sets analytics_storage to denied for the stored choice window. It does not erase data already received by Google; contact us about a data request.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity loads by default with project ID z2ja93k17b from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms; regional collection hosts also end in .clarity.ms. It can record session replays and heatmaps, including clicks, scrolls, taps, page URLs, browser and device information and pseudonymous identifiers. Pseudonymous is not the same as anonymous. This site has no account or payment forms, but do not enter sensitive information into pages.
Microsoft’s current service retention and masking policies apply; we do not claim independently verified custom masking or retention settings. Reject calls the Clarity consent APIs, removes the tag and reloads the document. The original rejection timestamp keeps Clarity off on later pages for 180 days.
Adsterra advertising
We serve advertising through Adsterra, publisher ID 3403020, website ID 6146107. Two formats run on the site: Native Banner unit 31892837 and Social Bar unit 31892838. Adult ads are switched off at the Adsterra website level. We do not run Popunder, Banner or Smartlink formats from this network.
Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies and similar identifiers on bicea.org and on creative domains to limit frequency, measure impressions and clicks, and personalise ads. Those are third-party cookies; we do not control their names or lifetimes. Adsterra’s privacy policy describes them, including how to opt out of personalised advertising. The Social Bar is a fixed strip at the bottom of the viewport; you can close it with the × button, and bn_socialbar_closed remembers that for 180 days.
Both initial Adsterra script URLs use bicea.org. Creative and measurement destinations can vary; those partners can receive your IP address, browser information and identifiers when an ad is served. Reject removes both units and reloads the page; the saved rejection prevents their scripts from being requested on later visits for 180 days. Dynamically loading a script is not a guarantee that it runs only after first paint.
YouTube and other third parties
The trailer is a click-to-play YouTube embed. No request goes to YouTube until you press Watch trailer; the iframe then loads youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube and Google may set cookies or receive your IP address and device information once the player loads, under Google’s privacy policy. Reject does not disable the trailer button, so the player still loads only when you choose to press it.
There is no other advertising, tag-manager, chat, font or analytics SDK on the site. Links to beamng.com, the PlayStation Store and social profiles leave this site; those destinations have their own policies. The site is served from our own host behind Cloudflare, which processes request metadata for delivery and security under Cloudflare’s privacy policy; we do not load Cloudflare’s client-side analytics beacon.
Legal basis, retention and your rights
The current implementation is default-on. Not pressing a button is not affirmative consent, and this policy does not represent the default-on arrangement as satisfying consent requirements in every jurisdiction. Keep on records an affirmative choice; Reject and Global Privacy Control disable the optional scripts. Contact us at [email protected] about privacy concerns. Delivery and security processing is separate from optional analytics and advertising.
Site choice records are valid for 180 days. Provider cookie lifetimes are described above; server-side analytics, replay and advertising data follow each provider’s settings and policies. We do not publish unverified account-level retention claims.
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold, object to processing, or ask for portability by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Advertising may involve sharing identifiers with the providers described above; use Reject to stop their subsequent loading. Because the site is a static guide, we hold no account data; most requests concern correspondence you send us.
Personalised advertising opt-outs
To opt out of personalised advertising from Adsterra and its partners, use Adsterra’s privacy policy and the industry pages below. Google Ads settings control Google-served personalisation on other sites; the NAI and Your Online Choices pages cover many ad exchanges. These are third-party tools, not switches on BeamNG.pro. The switch on this site is Reject, which removes Adsterra entirely.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effect, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
